Pennine Winter Handicap 2009/2010 - Junior Overall Results

An amazing twenty-nine Juniors participated in the Series, with twelve of them (more than the Seniors !!*?!) achieving their three counting races and four people (Joe, Amy, Matt and Sarah) doing all six of them - well done.
When the dust had settled after the final race and the sums had been done it turned out that Lucas was first with just two points fewer than Joe, while Charlie and Sarah tied for third place with eleven points each - congratulations to the four of them and also to all the Juniors who participated for their continuing enthusiasm and their support of each other throughout the Series.
Apologies - and a certificate - must go to Sarah because I had only prepared one certificate for each position; but she did get an egg, so maybe the chocolate overload will compensate.
Thanks must go to all the adults who have turned out in large numbers to each event to marshal, help and support - the Series couldn't take place without them and their services are much appreciated.
Thanks must also go to the various landowners who very kindly allow us over their properties to run the Junior Series. It is a tribute to the behaviour of the runners who participate that we are so well received - and some of the landowners do take the time to come and have a discreet look at what's going on.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and, hopefully, we'll see you again next Autumn.
