KETTLERCISE
This is held every Wednesday in the large function room behind New Mills Town Hall from 5.45 - 6.45pm.
Kettlercise is a full body range exercise class. Kettle bell training strenghthens more muscles than using machines,
dumbbells or barbells.
The shape of the bell enables you use every single muscle in your body in continuous sets of repetitions without rest breaks.
Although you work to music there are no 'aerobic' or dance type moves and the session is suitable for men and women alike.
It's up to you what weight you choose to train with. Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention , you are supposed to be able to
burn up to 1500 calories per 1 hour session!
The importance of doing this kind of training in addition to lots of running is to balance your muscle groups,
avoiding injury and keeping muscle mass which reduces dramatically, especially over the age of 50. It's also a brilliant
exercise for core stability which, as you all know, also helps to avoid injury.
If anyone is interested in joining you can either call Katherine on 07816978713 for more information or call Paul's
partner (Rachael) to book a place on 07952461448. The cost is £4 per session and you can either book a permament slot or
go when you can after speaking to Rachael.

2nd May 2011
On May 3rd I'll begin a 1,000 mile Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride to raise funds for Ashgate Hospice, who cared for
my best friend, Sarah Dewhurst. Sarah died from cancer in February, at the age of 38, less than two months after her
diagnosis. Sarah lived in Chapel-en-le-Frith and worked in Disley and Whitehough, where she was a much-loved member of
both communities.
Ashgate Hospice provides specialist care for adults in North Derbyshire. Its aim is to help patients achieve the best
possible quality of life in accordance with their wishes. It relies upon donations to continue its work and does not charge
patients for its services.
If any of you could sponsor me a few quid I'd be really grateful. 100% of money donated will go direct to the charity.
If you would like to sponsor me, I have the following Just Giving page:-
http://www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Chatwin
or you could text me and I'll add you to my form.
Many thanks and catch up with you all when I get running again after the ride.
